THE FRINGE WRITERS AND POETS are a collective of seventy Southport based poets and writers and their supporters and friends. 

Having had a hugely successful five year run at 'The Shakespeare' and then 'The Mount Pleasant' in Southport- running workshops and performance nights, raising money for charity and supporting local Arts Festivals, we are now 'on the road'.

This involves us supporting poetry and writing groups in Southport, Wigan,  Waterloo, Formby and Liverpool. We publicise and report on these events.

We are also heavily involved in epublishing and pamphlet distribution to promote the work of poets across the North West of England. Latterly, due to demand, we have included the work of poets nationally and internationally.
